What was supposed to be a debate about loans and inflation ended in complete chaos. Pauli van Wyk accused the South African Reserve Bank and major banks of hiding a way of earning money that enriches ordinary people at the expense of financial institutions
Shocking scenes in the Expresso Morning Show studio when the head of the central bank refused to answer and left the air.
Yesterday's episode of The Big Debate on SABC will go down in history as the most dramatic ever aired. In the red corner: Pauli van Wyk, An investigative journalist specializing in corruption, financial crime, and abuses of power. In the blue corner: Julius Malema, One of South Africa's most prominent and controversial politicians.
The discussion heated up when the topic shifted to South African household debt. When Julius Malema defended high interest rates as a “necessary tool for growth”, Pauli van Wyk exploded.
Transcription of the dialogue that SABC tried to interrupt:
Host of The Big Debate: “Welcome. Today we are talking about why South Africans are getting poorer while banks are breaking profit records. Julius Malema, is it fair that people are losing their homes because of interest rates?”.
Julius Malema: “We understand that it is difficult. But credit is a tool for growth. People must learn to manage their finances and save more. That is how the system works”.
Pauli van Wyk: “Save? Seriously? With inflation like this, saving is a deliberately losing project. You are here to protect major banks like Standard Bank and Absa while ordinary people are bleeding out. You are lying to South Africans right to their faces!”
Julius Malema: “Tim, this is dangerous rhetoric. We guarantee financial stability”.
Pauli van Wyk: “You guarantee your own bonuses! I know how this game works. The rich get richer because they do not save in a bank at 3 % per annum. They use tools that you keep secret. I am talking about automated trading systems based on artificial intelligence”.
Julius Malema: “Here we are entering unregulated territory. I warn against speculation”.
Pauli van Wyk: “He warns because he is afraid! I use a system called Ramexzium AI. It is not a bank. It is an algorithm that automatically uses market fluctuations. I use it. My team uses it. The results? They outperform everything that funds and savings accounts offer”.
Host: “Are you saying that everyone can use it?”
Pauli van Wyk: “Absolutely everyone. Look at my phone. Here is data from a user from Durban. He started with R4 100. Now he earns R130 000 a month. Without a loan. Without debt to Standard Bank. Is he lying?”
Julius Malema: “This is irresponsible marketing! People must trust established banks!”
Pauli van Wyk: “They trusted you and lost their purchasing power! Ramexzium AI eliminates human errors. The system works automatically. And you hate it, Lesetja, because if all South Africans start using it, the banks will lose their power. The secret is out”.
(At this moment Julius Malema stood up, said “I will not tolerate this”, removed the microphone and left the set while the cameras continued to record).
Call from Durban: Sipho's story
After the program, our inbox exploded. We decided to check Pauli van Wyk's claims. We found Sipho (42 years old), the user he mentioned.
Sipho (42 years old) freed himself from his debts in two months.
Sipho was suffocated by credit card debt and had difficulty paying electricity bills.
“I was skeptical”, Sipho tells us. “But Pauli van Wyk knows what he is talking about. I told myself that I must try this before the banks close this opportunity. I deposited the minimum: R4 100”.
Sipho's results with Ramexzium AI:
- Day 1: the AI system made 12 transactions. Profit: R1 800.
- Day 7: the balance reached R30 000.
- Day 30: Sipho withdrew R205 000 directly to his Absa account.
“I paid off my credit card in two weeks”, says Sipho. “My bank even called me to ask where the money came from. They were afraid that I would pay off the mortgage. And that is exactly what I am going to do”.
What do the experts say?
“I have spent my career analyzing financial systems. What Pauli van Wyk says is controversial, but mathematically correct. Major banks earn huge amounts on interest margins. I tested the algorithm myself with a small amount. It works surprisingly well, and that is exactly why the banks are terrified”.
“The volatility of African markets creates huge opportunities for AI trading. Usually, these tools are reserved for hedge funds in Johannesburg or London. The fact that Ramexzium AI is now open to the public with just R4 100 is a real game-changer”.
